Rajendra K.M. comes from an agriculture family based in Kalasa village, Chikmagalur District (South Karnataka. When he came to Bangalore he worked in various jobs such as leather, road painting, electrician from an early age. He joined Industree during October 2003 to work as a helper in a production unit (earning Rs.3,500/- per month), he had a zeal to come up in life, he made partnerships with other co-workers during 2004 and started a small production unit with about 26 people (Industree provided machineries / infrastructure).

K Mahadeva Prabhu, (35yrs) the only male child of a poor farming family from Kollegal, Karnataka, he migrated to Bangalore in the early 90s searching for work, today he has reasons for hope. He is one of the leaders of United Self Help Group incubated by Industree. The leaders are being trained to take up ownership of the production unit in which they have been working for the last 2 years.

Selvam started off as a tailor who migrated to Bangalore during the 1990s from Dharmapuri District of Tamil Nadu to start his own tailoring shop (stitching shirts, pants, etc). Around 1999, Neelam & Gita asked him to stitch some samples of table mats, floor mats which he declined since he was only used to working with textiles. After continuous requests, he agreed and started producing natural fibre items for Industree.
